Here Comes the Sun.....

After almost 21 straight days of rain in the bay area (very unusual weather for these parts), the sun is out and, is supposed to stay out. Thank God!!! I love this song, it's one of my favorites. How can you not feel good when you hear it?

Let It Be by The Beatles

I heard this song on the radio on the way into work today. It just made me think, well... I need to let it be. I can't complain about my life but, it has been a little hectic - packing, moving, trying to find a job in another state and still trying to maintain a life at home. My piddly little life stuff is nothing compared to what people are going through in Japan and the rest of the world.

May they find some comfort in these words as that's all I can give right now.
When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

A Giveaway for Spring!

I haven't had a giveaway for sometime and with Spring right around the corner it's time! I'll be having more giveaways in the coming weeks of some of the items I have in my Etsy shop.  I don't plan on closing the Etsy shop but, as I've been knitting and crocheting more and with  the move coming up I just haven't had the time to create, market and promote much of anything. So I'll be keeping it open with new items coming out but, just not as often.

Here's a pretty little vintage inspired pendant. It's a little bouquet of spring flowers with a script background. It's set in a copper tray and measures 1 inch in diameter. It comes on a brown satin edged organza ribbon necklace. The winner can let me know how long or short they'd like the necklace. If you want to enter to win leave a comment telling me what your favorite flower is. That will not determine the winner, I just like to know! The winner will be drawn at random next Friday and I'll announce the winner on Saturday.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Good Luck!!!

I did it....

The deed is done. I did it. I have told my work that I'm moving this summer. Yikes! I'm kinda scared but, I guess it's all good. My husbands transfer went through, which is great but.....we are trying to get pre-approved for a home loan and since I have no job there (Nevada) they cannot count my income and my husband has to take on my debt since Nevada is a community property state. So, right now we're not qualifying. Which means we may have to rent for awhile. I'm hoping to stay with my company as a remote employee at least for 6 months. It's a feasible idea but, I'm waiting to hear from my manager if it's a go. In the meantime I've been submitting my resume and have one potential interview. Sigh.

We really have no choice but to move. California is soooo expensive. We have no security here. There's no security in Nevada either but, the potential is there. It really sucks because even if, by some miracle, my salary doubled we would still not qualify for a house here. I'll miss it here. The beach especially. My family too but, they can and, will come and visit. I'll miss my son. So many changes...I'm getting a little beklemmt. Sigh......

Everything just feels so up in the air right now. I hate that. I like to feel grounded. Stable. Oh geez, and the idea of moving itself...blah!!!!! We are going to get rid of just about everything - furniture, beds, dining table. Another big sigh. Wish me luck in the coming months, I'm gonna need it.

Fairy Friday

The art work of Margaret W. Tarrant

The Fairy Way by Margaret W. Tarrant
In searching for some fairy art to post today I came across an artist I've not heard of before -  Margaret W. Tarrant. I think the image above is beautiful. If you click the image it will enlarge and you can more details. I tried to find a website for her or at least something on Wikipedia but, was able to find very little. Has anyone else heard of her? She was a freelance artist and had done some illustrations for a few books. I'm just surprised she's not more poplular. I've added a link to a site that tells a little bit about her and if you google her images you can see how gorgeous her artwork is. I'll definitly be post more of her images.

I hope you enjoy this little image of the fairies frolicking. It seemed so springtime. Have a lovely weekend everyone.
