Minnie Mouse Ears

 Wow! 2 years since my last post......how the time flies. I think I've found a new hobby! I recently made the below Minnie Mouse ears. 

I've been dying to try these for awhile now, and finally found the time and got the supplies. I didn't have a specific theme in mind as I just wanted to see how my first pair would turn out. I went with a Halloween theme since that's what the dollar store had. I think I'll add a bit more pink/purple to the spider (he came with with pink glitter already). I'm pretty happy with them. I love how comfortable they are. Anyone that wears glasses and headbands when they go to Disney Parks knows that can be bothersome.

I can't wait to make more and I can't wait til Disneyland opens up again!

41 Days Until Halloween

It's been so long since I posted I just about forgot how to change my blog background!

The last couple of years I tried to do a "100 Days Until Halloween" and failed. Work always got in the way and it still is! So now we are down to 41 days til Halloween. Yay!!! What are you looking forward to?

I've already been to Michael's and Target to check out their Halloween stuff. I still need to make it to a Spirit store though. I've prowled around Pinterest too. Unfortunately, we won't make it to Disneyland this year for Halloween. I don't think I even posted my pics from last year. I'll have to get those up.

I really just want to curl up on the couch and watch Halloween movies with a big bowl of popcorn!

Halloween at Disneyland

I have a small dream coming true. I'm going to Disneyland in October! Wheee! Disneyland has always been a bit of a dream for me. I went a couple of times when I was a kid, once as an adult on my honeymoon with my first husband, and once with my son when he was about 4 (that was well over 20 years ago). So my memories of it were a bit foggy.

I didn't go back until last June when my husband took me for my 50th birthday. I was a bit resistant to go. I love Disney and Disneyland but, it's expensive and I hate crowds. I've been meaning to go back but, for the last 25 years I've either had the time but no money or I've had the money but no time.

I'm now at an age where I need to start doing all that stuff on my bucket list. So we went in June and had a great time and I've fallen in love with Disney all over again. I've a totally new appreciation for the park and the magic of Disney. Since I didn't have to run around after a small child and worry if he was getting too hot, hungry or tired, I could just appreciated where I was at the moment.

I'm so obsessed with Disney that I've planned to go there in the beginning of October as I've heard that the park goes all out for Halloween. Wow, Disney and Halloween all rolled into one! I can't wait!
